SNOQUALMIE UNITED METHODIST YOUTH COVENANT
2004 - 2005
(This Covenant was created by the Youth)
In signing this covenant, I agree to live by the following guidelines during all SUMY meetings and events in order to fulfill the purpose and vision of our Youth Ministry:
I will:
- Respect the health of my own body by not using alcohol, tobacco, or drugs of any kind, except those prescribed by a physician.
- Respect the physical and emotional health of other youth and adults, including no gossip, no hitting, respecting the need for sleep, no harmful practical jokes and so on.
- Be responsible for my own behavior, including:
- No vulgar language
- No clothing that shows my stuff
- No inappropriate romantic behavior
- No disrespecting leaders
- Participate fully in those scheduled events that I attend, abide by group decisions made during the event, and be on time.
- Follow the "buddy system", and not leave the designated area without permission of a youth leader.
- Respect the property of the places we meet and visit.
- Participate with a positive and prayerful attitude, and have FUN while being in covenant.
I agree to abide by the SUMY Covenant that constitutes our Code of Behavior for all persons participating in SUMY events. I understand that a violation of these expectations will result in being counseled by the Youth Director, in the presence of another youth worker. Considering the seriousness of the occurrence, the Youth Director will have the option of calling my parent/guardian and/or sending me home at my parent/guardian's expense.
