United Methodist and Nazarene Youth Worker
Pre-Event Course at NYWC*

The Youthworker Movement and the Church of the Nazarene partners with the Youth Specialties National Youth Workers Convention* to offer a pre-convention event especially for youthworkers in United Methodist and Nazarene Churches. This OPTIONAL 8-hour Critical Concerns Course begins the day before the Convention* and continues on the morning the Convention* begins. Class size is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Course Description

Here you’ll find practical ways to succeed as a youth minister in a Wesleyan-based denominational church. Discover how to combine solid  theology and disciplines with a cutting-edge style so your ministry will both fit church directives and connect with the contemporary needs of your students. It is designed to help you get maximum benefit out of your National Youth Workers Convention* experiences.

  • How to team successfully with your pastor and church leadership
  • What John Wesley has to say to the youth of today
  • How a connectional system can give your ministry maximum resources and impact
  • How you can effectively teach Wesleyan theology and doctrine to this new generation

Fees

$50 - per Convention attendee
