Hey folks, a couple of situations are playing out in the ministry I work with...so I'll pose some hypotheticals and ask for your help.

When you hear rumors that students are involved in destructive and illegal beavaiors, how do you respond?

When you are given hard and fast evidence that students are involved in destructive, perhaps immoral, and illegal behaviors, how do you respond.

When a student confides in you that they are involved in previously mentioned beahaviors, how do you respond?

Do you just love on the kid and try to redirect them? When do you, if ever, bring parents in? etc. , etc. etc....

I work in a fairly upper middle class white congregation in the south with kids that have pretty much everything they could ever want or need.

Any insight, wisdom, or past experience is appreciated.
